Teaching Assistant (SEN)

We're looking for a caring and dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in South Gloucestershire that believes every child should feel valued, supported and encouraged to achieve their very best.

What you'll be doing

• Providing dedicated 1:1 support for a pupil with additional learning needs
• Helping to deliver personalised learning activities and support strategies
• Encouraging independence, confidence and a love of learning
• Working alongside teachers, SEND staff and families to ensure the best outcomes for the pupil
• Creating a calm, positive and inclusive learning environment where children feel safe to succeed

We're looking for someone who

• Has experience working with children, particularly those with Special Educational Needs
• Builds positive relationships through patience, empathy and encouragement
• Has excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Can adapt to meet the changing needs of individual pupils
• Holds relevant qualifications or SEND training, although this isn't essential if you have the right experience and attitude

What you'll receive

• £14.25 to £15.50 per hour, depending on experience

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
