Job description
Protocol Education is a specialist provider of classroom based staff to schools and academies in England. We provide our 4,000 clients with the full range of classroom based staff on both a temporary and permanent basis. Additionally, we provide teaching staff to international schools across the globe.
Each year over 11,000 teachers, teaching assistants, SEND specialists, early years, one-to-one tuition staff, and intervention specialists work through Protocol Education on either a full-time or part-time basis to help children meet their education goals. Each one is met face to face by one of our staff and checked to ensure that they meet the DfE safeguarding standards.

The Role
Protocol Education is seeking committed, reliable, passionate teaching assistants near Twickenham and Richmond to work in a special needs school based in the borough of Richmond upon Thames.
This role will require you to work 1:1 with secondary aged students with autism, although these students have ASD they follow the curriculum and mainly require support academically. Due to the nature of the school the students can display some challenging behaviours, this is why the school are looking for staff with previous experience working with students with SEND.

The school strives to meet the diverse and individual needs of its pupils who have special education needs and disabilities. Students with special needs travel from all over London to attend this school as it is one of the biggest in London which provide education for those with autism and complex needs . This is a large school for students aged between 4 19; due to the need of the students the school like to encourage independence and life skills within the learning.
It is fundamental that any candidate considering this position has prior experience working with students with special educational needs. You will need to demonstrate an enthusiastic and caring attitude to work as you will be required to work in small groups or 1-1 with students.
