A large, growing primary school, admitting up to 150 pupils each year are looking for a Teaching Assistant to start in September. The school recently has been developing their facilities significantly. Their curriculum and provision have been developed across the school, to ensure these issues are addressed. Each subject of the National curriculum is carefully planned, with a range of skills and knowledge in place, for each year group to learn. The school teach the children how to apply their knowledge effectively and revisit it regularly, to ensure that is retained in their long-term memory.

  • This role is 5 days per week, Monday – Friday for the successful candidate.
  • The client is also flexible on the amount of days you can work
  • Day to day cover also needed to cover general sickness
  • The role will be to start in September 2022
  • The School has high expectations of what the children can achieve and strive to innovate and inspire all children, through a broad and balanced curriculum

Main Duties:

  • Getting the classroom ready for lessons and clearing away afterwards to maintain a safe and clean environment
  • Assisting Teachers in preparing the lesson materials and school equipment
  • Recording and reporting a pupil’s progress to the Teacher
  • Helping pupils stay focused during class hours
  • Supervising group activities, sports events and school outings
  • Helping Teachers manage student behaviour
  • Looking after children who are unwell or upset
  • Providing a healthy and safe learning environment for children

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
