Protocol Education are seeking to appoint a Teaching Assistant (TA) to join a primary school in central Doncaster. This role is likely to run for at least a year with a significant chance of becoming permanent.

The school:
A fun and exciting and very large (with over 500 pupils) primary school rated as GOOD by OFSTED, the school has proved to be popular with pupils and has proved to be successful over the years. The school is well led and well run with many of the Teachers and Teaching Assistants that we have placed there over the years saying what a great school it is to work at. The school aims to provide a stimulating, safe and caring environment where they can develop children academically, socially, emotionally, and creatively so that they have the necessary knowledge, skills and ability to thrive as they mature and grow. They strongly believe in providing the best education for each and every child, and they aim to develop this in partnership with parents, families and the wider community.

The Role:
You will be working 1:1 with a Year 4 pupil whose learning needs are those of a Foundation Stage pupil. Whilst friendly, she has very high energy levels and a key challenge is that of keeping her engaged and in the classroom in order to facilitate her learning.

What you'll need to succeed:
·You will have a minimum of 1 years' experience supporting pupils with Special Needs
·You will have a minimum of 1 years' experience working in a primary school
·You will have Key Subject and Curriculum knowledge across either Key Stage 1 (KS1) or Key Stage 2 (KS2)
·Ideally, trained to NVQ Level
·TEAMTEACH qualifications and experience would be beneficial (although not essential)
·Strong de-escalation skills
·A sense of fun and the desire to have a positive impact upon the lives of young children.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
