About the Role
Welcoming secondary schools in Swindon are looking for a flexible and enthusiastic Teaching Assistants to join their teams. You’ll be supporting students who need additional help to access learning, working closely with teachers and pastoral staff to make each day run smoothly.
This role suits someone who’s calm, positive, and able to build strong relationships with young people. You’ll need solid communication skills, a confident approach, and a genuine interest in helping students succeed.
What You’ll Be Doing

Supporting students with additional learning needs in and out of lessons

Helping pupils stay engaged, focused, and confident

Working with teaching staff to adapt tasks and resources

Encouraging positive behaviour and independence

Contributing to a warm, supportive classroom environment

Strong interpersonal skills and clear communication

Confident literacy and numeracy

A patient, encouraging, and proactive approach

Experience working with young people, whether in schools, youth work, volunteering or similar

Relevant qualifications are helpful, but not essential
