Job description
Secondary school in Greenwich are recruiting experienced teaching assistants / learning support staff

TOP SEND School in Greenwich working with Autism looking for Support Staff to work with small groups of students with autism. The School is set in a state of the art building, newly built, class sizes are spacious and resources are excellent.

Teaching and Support Staff are very friendly and most important, SUPPORTIVE!

If you looking for a support position assisting SEND students whilst gaining career progression then this school would be ideal as they offer a career pathway as well as continuous training. The school have an excellent Ethos and are ideally looking for a enthusiastic, hard working support staff with a fun personality.

The students you will be assisting would range between mainly autism yet the school do cater for a small portion of severe learning difficulties, profound and multiple difficulties, down syndrome and mild learning difficulties. It is a secondary school with a small FE / Post 16 Unit.

Minimum Requirements;

  • Existing or previous experience supporting pupils with ASD
  • Enthusiastic
  • Good work ethic
  • Ability to support pupils within lessons
  • Creative approach to helping children learn


An excellent, well resourced school in South east London needs a support assistant to work in a small class of children with Autism / mixture of learning difficulties.

The successful candidate should be able to establish a good supportive relationship with autistic students so to be able to clearly communicate and chart progress. Knowledge of PECS, makaton and/or TEACCH is a bonus!

The successful candidate will benefit from an enhancement of skills, working in a supportive environment and a FREE GYM Membership
