Job description
Protocol Education are recruiting for Special Needs Learning Support Assistants / Teaching assistants to work within special needs environments in the Croydon borough. This special needs school is split over seven sites, catering for students in primary and secondary phases who have emotional behavioural difficulties with some on the lower ASD spectrum.

The Special Needs Learning Support Assistants / SEN TAs for this role will need to be comfortable working within a special needs environment, and have existing experience or a real interest in supporting vulnerable pupils across primary and/or secondary.

Temporary contracts available immediately and from September 2018

About the Role
·You will be required to support pupils on either a one to one basis or leading a small group.
·To support the class teacher
·Assisting with changing and feeding the children
·Working with the class teacher and up to three other support staff within the classroom
·Assisting and supporting the children with classroom work, as well as offsite trips to the adventure playground.
·Part time and full-time options available
·Temporary contracts available immediately and from September 2018

In order to be considered for this role, the Special Needs Learning Support Assistants / SEN LSAs will need to meet the following criteria:

• Eligible to work in the UK (Must have valid visa)
• Recent classroom-based references will be ideal however, if you currently
• Hold a valid DBS registered on the update service/ able to complete relevant police checks
