Job description
Learning support assistants/ Teaching assistant jobs in Croydon

Ideally, you will;

Be available to start immediately
• Able to work 2-5 days per week
• Existing experience supporting children with special educational needs/ disabilities
• Ability to manage possible challenging behaviour, promote focus and encourage positive social interaction
• Must have good interpersonal skills
• Existing SEND experience would be ideal however, a positive attitude and passion for supporting children is also desirable


As a support specialist (LSA/TA), you will support and facilitate pupil's academic, social and personal development encouraging pupils to develop their social skills, cater for different abilities and age groups as well as incorporating creative activities to support learning whilst using resources to ensure lessons fun, visual and creative.

This will include working with pupils on a small group or individual basis, as well as supporting the class teacher.


Responsibilities may include;

• Leading small groups with guided reading
• Supporting functional skills
• Encouraging positive social interaction with peers
• Offering extra support where necessary
• Ensuring pupils have a safe learning environment
• Implementing a variety of strategies to cater for different learning abilities
• Playground duty
