Job description
Teaching Assistants (NVQ Level 2/3 or equivalent preferred) with excellent behaviour management required for long term positions available in mainstream primary schools based in the London Borough of Barking and Dagenham. Positions are full time, term time only and can run from half a term up to the whole academic year.

The post will require support of children, aged 4-11 years (predominately on a one to one basis) within the class. You will need to be flexible, have enthusiasm, motivation, good communication skills and the ability to work with small groups on specific programmes if required. Experience in working with children with special needs would be an advantage as would previous training in Behavior Management including Team Teach.

The large school community is one of immense diversity, as pupils are from a wide range of ethnic heritages. The strong relationships, and commitment by all staff to promote the well-being of pupils, create an exceptionally harmonious ethos. Pupils are highly respectful and tolerant of each other. They understand and appreciate differences between people, including those from different faiths and cultures. As a result, pupils' spiritual, moral, social and cultural development is promoted exceptionally well. Pupils have an excellent work ethic and strive to achieve their best.
