Job description
Teaching Assistant required
Primary School, Reigate in Surrey
Part-time & permanent
Immediate start

My client is a large school with over 700 children situated in a beautiful new building on the rural southern edge of Reigate. They have an innovative curriculum, excellent extra-curricular opportunities and good results. They also have a fantastic, experienced and supportive staff who know how to bring out the best in every child.

TA's need to be:
• Resilient and hard-working
• Flexible and adaptable
• Patient and good humoured
• Positive and understanding of the needs of children
• Professional and loyal

Good interpersonal skills and a sense of humour are essential. You must genuinely care about every child.

The role will involve:
• Working in partnership with class teachers to help each child make great progress
• Supporting children in group learning tasks with reading, writing and numeracy. This role may include leading interventions as well.
• Being positive and cheerful mediator at playtimes and lunchtimes
• Initially this role will be in lower key stage 2. Knowledge of the Year 4 National Curriculum would be an advantage.
