Job description
I am working with a school who are based in rural Durham. The school is single form entry and have circa 195 pupils. They also have a learning hub, where they can accommodate up to 20 children. The hub currently has around a dozen pupils in there. They have a mixture of needs from Autism, ADHD and some with behavioural issues. The school where recently visited by OFSTED and they managed to keep their status of "good". Due to the great work they have done within the community the school have excellent parent support.
I am working with them to try and find some Teaching Assistants who will be able to work across the school as and where required. Ideally the school are hoping for people who have a minimum of Level 3 but based on experience they will consider level 2. The successful candidates will be working across the mainstream classroom supporting where needed, working 1:1 and small group intervention as well as working in the hub.
Due to the situation in the school they are looking for people who can hit the ground running as there are also some behavioural issues within the school.

  • What you will receive in return is full support from the school and access to their pool of resources.
  • You will get your own personal consultant to lias with, who will also offer support
  • Competitive rates of pay
  • We offer free CPD (continued professional development)
