Protocol Education is recruiting a full-time Teaching Assistant to support across a KS2 classroom in Gateshead, with a focus on interventions and small group work.

About the role:

You’ll work closely with the class teacher to deliver targeted support, helping pupils who may need extra guidance.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Running small group interventions in reading and maths
  • Supporting pupils who need additional help to stay on track
  • Reinforcing learning during whole-class lessons
  • Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
  • Helping pupils develop confidence and independence

What we’re looking for:

  • A confident and supportive individual
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Passion for education

Working hours:

  • Monday to Friday
  • 8:30am – 3:30pm
  • Full-time
