A secondary school close to Barnard Castle is recruiting for a full time Learning Support Assistant to begin work with immediate effect.
The school is recruiting for someone to provide learning support to KS3 and KS4. This could include working as nurture support for KS3 or providing behaviour to support KS4. This will involve assisting the learning of classes across the curriculum. Classes will hold a large amount of students with SEND and SEMH.

This role requires a great amount of pastoral support, therefore candidates from backgrounds such as youth workers and policing will be considered for the role. The role would also be suitable for enthusiastic graduates who are keen to gain more experience before embarking on a PGCE.

This fast improving school is situated within easy reach of Newcastle city centre and the A1, making it easily accessible via both public transport and by car.

The school is eager to meet candidates who wish to make a difference in the lives of young people. Candidates must be robust and able to deal with behaviour that can at times be challenging. The need for a good sense of humour is essential.
