SEND Teaching Assistants & Learing support staff - South Leeds

We are currently looking for SEND Teaching Assistants to work in specialist setting based south leeds. This school provides an education for students with aditional needs such as Autisim and associated conditions. The particular groups you are working with could be either at key stage 2, 3, 4 or 5. If you have experience in supporting young people or have worked in a an alternative school setting or provider then this will put you at a distinct advantage.
You will ideally hold a Team Teach certification or at least be prepared to train for one as we run courses to get you certified. You must have a passion for working with young people aged 7-19. The work can be very rewarding; however it can also be challenging at times, so you need to be resilient, clam, composed and have the ability to manage challenging behaviour in the school. Many students may also have challenging home lives, may present with complex communication needs, learning difficulties or are high on the autistic spectrum. All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
