Protocol Education is working with a specialist Autism school in North Bristol (BS35) seeking dedicated Teaching Assistants to join their team.

About the Role

You will support pupils with Autism and a range of additional needs, helping them access learning, develop independence and build positive relationships.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
• Supporting pupils with Autism and SEND.
• Assisting with classroom activities and learning.
• Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing.
• Encouraging communication, confidence and independence.
• Building positive and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Working closely with teachers and the wider school team.
• Creating a safe, calm and supportive learning environment.

‍ We're Looking For

The ideal candidate will:

• Have previous Teaching Assistant or relevant school-based experience.
• Have experience supporting children or young people.
• Have experience with Autism/SEND (desirable).
• Be patient, caring, resilient and adaptable.
• Have excellent communication and relationship-building skills.
• Be passionate about supporting pupils with additional needs.
• Be available for full-time work where possible.
• Have a full UK driving licence and access to a car – essential due to the school's location.

Part-time and flexible availability may also be considered for the right candidate.
