The Role

As a Teaching Assistant or SEN Teaching Assistant, you could be supporting pupils in the classroom, working 1:1 or in small groups and helping children overcome barriers to learning.

Your responsibilities may include:

• Providing 1:1 and small-group support.
• Supporting pupils with SEND, Autism, ADHD and additional needs.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and learning.
• Supporting pupils' academic, social and emotional development.
• Promoting positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Adapting activities and resources to meet individual needs.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Working alongside teachers, SENCOs and wider support teams.
• Creating a safe, inclusive and engaging learning environment.

‍ What We're Looking For

We'd love to hear from candidates who:

• Have at least 6 months of UK experience as a Teaching Assistant or in a relevant education/support role.
• Have experience working with children or young people.
• Have SEND experience for SEN TA opportunities.
• Are patient, caring, resilient and adaptable.
• Have strong communication and relationship-building skills.
• Are passionate about supporting children's learning and development.
• Can work effectively as part of a school team.
• Are available for full-time or supply work.
