What you'll be doing

• Supporting pupils with their learning and development.
• Providing 1:1 and small-group support where required.
• Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation.
• Encouraging positive behaviour, confidence and independence.
• Supporting pupils with additional needs, including SEND.
• Helping create a safe, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
• Building positive relationships with pupils and school staff.
• Supporting pupils to overcome barriers to learning.

‍ We're looking for candidates who:

• Have previous experience working with children or young people.
• Have experience as a Teaching Assistant, Classroom Assistant, Learning Support Assistant or similar.
• Are passionate about education and supporting children's development.
• Have strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Are patient, reliable, adaptable and confident.
• Have experience supporting pupils with SEND or are willing to develop their SEND knowledge.

Relevant experience in youth work, support work, mentoring, childcare or volunteering with children may also be considered.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
