Teaching Assistant – Primary, Secondary & SEN Schools – Bristol

Protocol Education is currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Teaching Assistants to join our network of welcoming schools across Bristol. We are looking for candidates who are passionate about education and want to make a positive difference in the lives of children and young people.

Whether your experience is within Primary, Secondary, or Special Educational Needs (SEN) settings, we have a range of opportunities available, including day-to-day supply, long-term placements, and roles that could lead to permanent positions.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a key role in supporting pupils’ learning, confidence, and development while working alongside teachers and wider school teams.

Your responsibilities may include:

✨ Supporting pupils across Primary, Secondary, or SEN settings
✨ Providing 1:1 and small group support to students
✨ Assisting teachers with classroom activities and lesson preparation
✨ Supporting pupils with additional needs, including autism, SEMH, and complex needs
✨ Encouraging positive behaviour, engagement, and independence
✨ Creating a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

We are looking for candidates who:

✔ Have experience working with children or young people (school experience desirable but not essential)
✔ Are passionate about supporting learning and development
✔ Have strong communication and teamwork skills
✔ Are patient, reliable, and adaptable
✔ Have experience supporting SEN pupils or a willingness to develop within SEND settings

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
