Salary: Competitive, depending on experience

About the Role

We are seeking a caring, enthusiastic, and dedicated Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming school in Sheffield. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who is passionate about supporting children's learning, development, and wellbeing.

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers and pupils to create a positive, inclusive, and engaging learning environment. You will support students both academically and socially, helping them achieve their full potential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support classroom teachers with daily learning activities and lesson preparation
  • Provide one-to-one and small group support to pupils
  • Assist children with their educational, emotional, and social development
  • Encourage positive behaviour and confidence among students
  • Help create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
  • Support pupils with additional learning needs where required
  • Monitor and report on pupil progress

Requirements

  • Experience working with children in an educational setting is desirable
  • A patient, supportive, and positive approach
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children's welfare
  • Relevant qualifications such as Level 2 or Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification are desirable (but not essential)
