About the Role

As a Teaching Assistant, you will work closely with teachers to support pupils in the classroom, helping to deliver engaging lessons and ensuring every child has the opportunity to succeed. You may provide one-to-one support, assist small groups, and contribute to creating an inclusive and nurturing learning environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support teachers in delivering high-quality learning experiences.
  • Work with individual pupils and small groups to reinforce learning.
  • Encourage pupils' confidence, independence, and participation.
  • Help prepare classroom resources and learning materials.
  • Promote positive behaviour and support the school's behaviour policy.
  • Assist with the supervision of pupils during lessons and other school activities.
  • Contribute to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and stimulating learning environment.
  • Support children with additional learning needs where required.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Experience working with children in a school, childcare, or similar setting (desirable but not essential).
  • A patient, caring, and positive attitude.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • The ability to build positive relationships with pupils, staff, and parents.
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A commitment to supporting children's learning, wellbeing, and development.
  • GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Maths. Relevant Teaching Assistant qualifications are desirable but not essential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
