A welcoming and inclusive primary school in the South Glos area is looking for a compassionate 1:1 Teaching Assistant to support a pupil with additional learning needs. The school prides itself on creating a positive, nurturing environment where every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.
Working closely with teachers and support staff, you’ll help a pupil feel confident, included and ready to learn.
Your role will include:
Providing 1:1 support for a pupil with specific educational needs
Supporting personalised learning plans and strategies tailored to the child
Creating a safe, encouraging classroom environment
Helping develop the pupil’s social, emotional and academic confidence
Working alongside teachers and specialists to ensure the best outcomes for the child
This role would suit someone patient, caring and passionate about supporting children.
Ideally, you’ll have:
Experience working with children, particularly those with SEND
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
A calm, supportive and positive approach
A genuine interest in helping children succeed
Relevant education or SEND qualifications (desirable but not essential)
You’ll be joining a friendly team that values collaboration, support and the wellbeing of both staff and pupils.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
