Minutes from Angel or Old Street Stations is a Primary School seeking a Learning support Assistant. The ideal candidate will have experience supporting children with social, emotional and mental health needs in a learning environment or working in a similar role such as counselling or therapist. You will offer the student therapeutic support and academic support, you will work alongside the schools Learning Mentor and SENDCO.

The school has lovely light and airy classrooms, a glass fronted library, a roof- top playground, growing spaces, sports facilities and the latest ICT equipment. Around the school you can hear the sound of the birds and from every window you are greeted with the lush greenery of the Parkland Walk.

You must;

•Have experience with Mental Health or Social and Emotional Needs
•completed Team Teaching training or de-escalation training
• Working in therapeutic role
•Knowledge of the Year 3 National Curriculum
•Outstanding team work
•Positive relationships with children
•Creative and flexible approach to teaching
•Excellent behaviour management
•A high regard for inclusion and equality
• Flexible and pro-active
