Graduate Teaching Assistant

 

Are you a recent graduate wishing to pursue a career in primary teaching? Do you have previous experience working with children and young people? Or are you looking to build your experience and get into a school environment but don't know how?... 

 

Protocol Education are currently working in partnership with a larger than average primary school based in Leeds (LS9) that are looking for some additional support across Key Stage 2 (KS2). The school needs candidates who can work with small groups of pupils, manage behaviour in the classroom and support on a 1-1 basis if needed. 

 

This position is ideal for an individual wishing to secure a place on a future teacher training programme, but first, would like to build their experience in a primary school wokring with a range of pupils. 

 

"What will be my role?..."

  • You will work alongside class teachers to support pupils and deliver interventions for Reading, Writing and Maths.
  • You will have the opportunity to work on a 1-1 basis with identified pupils that require additional support during lessons. 
  • You have the opportunity to gain an invaluable insight into the daily runnings of the school and work with a number of year groups to strengthen knowledge and confidence in the pupils you will support.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
