A specialist SEN school in Sunderland is seeking a passionate and dedicated Teacher to join their team for the new academic year.

The school supports children and young people with:

  • Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC)
  • SEMH needs
  • ADHD
  • Communication and interaction difficulties
  • Associated behavioural needs

The school provides:

The Role:

  • Delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
  • Supporting pupils both academically and emotionally
  • Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation
  • Creating an inclusive and structured classroom environment
  • Supporting pupils with EHCP outcomes and personal development
  • Working collaboratively with support staff and families

Suitable candidates will:

  • Hold Qualified Teacher Status
  • Have SEN or specialist school experience desirable
  • Be patient, resilient and adaptable
  • Have strong communication and organisational skills
  • Be passionate about supporting young people with additional needs

Interviews are taking place shortly with the intention of securing staff before September. Successful candidates may have the opportunity to secure a permanent contract directly with the school.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
