Job description
Teacher of Religious Education

This Secondary School located close to the heart of Birmingham have an excellent reputation being consistently assessed as a Good school by Ofsted, which was confirmed in their recent Ofsted inspection earlier this year!

The school are looking to appoint a committed teacher of Religious Education with the capability of teaching the subject up to and including A-Level.

The position is available for an immediate start at the commencement of the new academic year and will continue through to the end year when it could become permanent for the right candidate.

Located close to the heart of the city centre this Secondary Academy have established themselves as a premier institute for education within their local area. They have a history of Good or better Ofsted inspections under the current well established leadership team and are now looking to appoint a Teacher of Religious Education with the ability to teach the subject up to and including A-Level group. There may be some requirement to cover some KS3 History or Geography lessons due to the current timetable. The post if offered on a full time basis and is ideally for an immediate start in September to run through to the end of the academic year when their may be the possibility of a permanent post.

The school have a good reputation locally with a passionate and dynamic team with an experienced Head of Department who has a proven track record in supporting and developing Teachers. The school are looking to appoint a candidate who will embrace the high standards and expectations that are embedded within the department and join this high performing team!

The school population is diverse with a high proportion of students coming from ethnic minority backgrounds. EAL at the school is above the national average with the number of pupils eligible for the pupil premium also above the national average. Pupils with statements of SEN at the school are broadly in line with the national average.
