Are you a passionate and qualified Music Teacher ready to inspire the next generation of performers, composers and musicians?
We are recruiting a full-time Music Teacher for a secondary school in Darlington. This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive department and lead engaging, high-quality music education across KS3 and KS4 (KS5 desirable).
You will:
Deliver engaging and structured Music lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
Prepare students for GCSE Music (exam board experience desirable)
Lead practical and theory-based lessons including performance and composition
Contribute to extra-curricular provision (choir, band, productions, concerts)
Foster creativity, confidence and musical appreciation
The school values a broad and inclusive curriculum, and Music plays an important role in enrichment and whole-school culture.
We are looking for:
A qualified Music Teacher (QTS/QTLS) – essential
Strong classroom management skills
Experience teaching GCSE Music
A commitment to raising attainment and participation
A teacher who can contribute to concerts, productions and school events
Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced practitioners are both welcome to apply.
