We are currently seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Design Technology Teacher for a full-time position starting in September 2026 at a welcoming secondary school in Middlesbrough.
This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate DT specialist to join a supportive department committed to delivering engaging, practical and high-quality lessons across KS3 and KS4. The school is open to candidates with strengths in areas such as Product Design, Resistant Materials, Engineering, Graphics or Construction.
The successful candidate will:
• Deliver engaging and well-structured Design Technology lessons
• Inspire students through practical and creative learning
• Support pupils across a range of abilities and learning needs
• Contribute positively to the wider school community
• Maintain high expectations for behaviour, achievement and progress
The school is looking for someone who:
• Holds QTS or relevant teaching qualifications
• Has experience teaching Design Technology within secondary education
• Demonstrates strong classroom management and subject knowledge
• Is organised, reliable and passionate about practical education
• Can build positive relationships with students and staff
