Teacher of Design and Technology

 

The successful candidate will need to demonstrate good subject knowledge and be passionate about teaching. The Design and Technology department is housed in the same part of the school as Art, Textiles, Photography and ICT.

The school holds three dedicated workshop rooms, a general Cooking and Nutrition/Catering room, a ‘professional kitchen’ and a shared computer suite. Each workshop has a PC connected to the intranet and the internet which can then be used in conjunction with SMART projectors andboards. They have a dedicated heat-treatment area with facilities for brazing and casting and there is also a wide variety of machinery for working with wood, metal, plastics and electronic components.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
