Job description


An outstanding school based in North London is looking for a versatile Teacher of the Deaf, to work in their deaf support base.


This is a lovely and vibrant mixed school catering for pupils from the age of 6 - 11 years. With fantastic facilities to enhance learning and development for its pupils, the school has received a good status by Ofsted. The deaf support base provides pupils with small group teaching and additional attention and help.


The school is looking for a Teacher of the Deaf who has a calm approach in their teaching, and is willing to go the extra mile. You will be required to teach pupils with varying SEN needs, mostly affected by physical or sensory impairment.

Candidate requirements

Have Qualified Teacher Status (teachers)
Have experience working with Deaf learners - have a good working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice.
Have experience working with small groups or on a 1:1 basis - be a calm, reflective and passionate practitioner
Successful class teaching experience.
