Job Description:

As an Art Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering engaging and inspiring art lessons to secondary school students. Your role will include:

  • Curriculum Development: Planning and delivering art lessons that align with the National Curriculum and inspire students to explore their creativity.
  • Classroom Management: Managing a classroom effectively, creating a positive and inclusive learning environment where all students feel encouraged to express themselves through art.
  • Teaching Techniques: Utilizing a variety of teaching techniques, materials, and resources to engage students and enhance their artistic skills.
  • Assessment: Evaluating and assessing students' progress and providing constructive feedback to support their development.
  • Extra-Curricular Activities: Organizing and leading art-related extracurricular activities or clubs to further engage students in the arts.
  • Collaboration: Collaborating with colleagues in the art department and other subject areas to promote interdisciplinary learning and creativity.
  • Student Support: Providing guidance and support to students who have a keen interest in pursuing art beyond the classroom.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should possess the following qualifications and skills:

  • A degree in Art Education or a related field.
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in the UK.
  • Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum for Art.
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills.
  • Creativity and a passion for the arts.
  • The ability to inspire and motivate students to explore their artistic potential.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
