Would you like to work in a highly-respected SEND school who are dedicated to supporting KS3 & KS4 students with additional needs/ SEND including ASD & MLD


The Role - Experienced SEN Teacher for a secondary SEND setting

Our school is looking for an Experienced SEND Teacher to work in a SEND secondary School, teaching 11-17 year olds (Years 7-12). You will be Teaching a class of up to 10 students with a variety of disabilities you will have ongoing support from a Teaching Assistant as well as more senior support and training from the senior leadership team (SLT).

You will be required to plan and deliver lessons as well as keeping personal progression and development plans for each of the students to make sure all their personal needs are met. The successful candidate will be resilient, patient and have a careering nature as well as being able to overcome the daily challenges that arise while working in the SEN provisions of Education.

The school is a special academy for students with complex, low incidence special educational needs. They are a well established school and work along side a very experienced local provider of quality specialised education provision and cater for young people with complex conditions.

They have taken an important part in the successful development of many young people, families and staff over the years and continuously aim for higher standards of education and care for our young people. They always aim to improve their support for families, in this era of austerity; as well as working together with our extended community so they can achieve greater outcomes.

The describe themselves as having friendly and experienced staff who are familiar with working with a wide range of young people with special educational needs - most of the staff have specialist qualifications and experience. They train and mentor all of their staff continuously to improve upon the standards of provision. The school is based in Greenwich with a number of transport links.
