Job description
We are looking to appoint a teaching assistant to work within KS3. The position may involve working with a specific child or group, as well as supporting other children in the class with their learning. Part of the hours will also be supporting the children at lunchtime. The candidate should be calm and caring and able to make a dedicated contribution to sensitively supporting children's needs. Experience of working with SEN children (particularly Autistic) would be an advantage.

They will be joining a team of committed teachers and support staff, working together to:

Dramatically improve the life chances of students, whose previous experience of schooling has, for whatever reasons, not been a wholly positive experience.

The successful candidate will have experience of working with students with special educational needs either in groups or providing targeted individual support.

Must have strong literacy & numeracy skills as well as a willingness to be flexible.
All successful candidates will be required to undergo safer recruitment checks including an enhanced DBS disclosure.
