Job description
Are you a teacher with experience teaching pupils with autism and complex needs? Protocol Education currently have a vacancy for a teacher, at a fantastic learning support service in Newham. This role is for 2-3 days per week, which provides great flexibility for other pursuits to take place during the week.

This service supports local schools and colleges in the Newham area, which cater for pupils with autism and complex needs, by providing specialist staff whom work with the pupils in both small groups and on a 1:1 basis to support their academic and personal development. As a teacher within this service, you will be expected to go out to local schools and colleges and support the learning needs of the pupils.

As this role involves working with pupils with autism and complex needs, previous experience working with pupils with these academic challenges is essential. In addition to this, you will need to be: proactive, enthusiastic and clearly communicative: to actively engage pupils in the learning.

Ideally, you will:

• Have attained QTS (not essential, but preferable)
• Have a current DBS, or be willing to acquire one through Protocol
• Have experience using instructional approaches to facilitate complete
access to the curriculum for pupils with ASD and complex needs
• Have confidence differentiating lessons for pupils with a range of different academic abilities
• Have good interpersonal and communicational skills
