Job description
Protocol Education are currently looking for Specialist Teaching Assistants with experience of working with male students who need support with personal care needs.

We are looking for qualified and unqualified Teaching Assistants, specialising in working with children with PMLD, who are looking for work from September, either on a day to day basis or long-term. Your role will involve working with students either on a 1:1 basis or within a full classroom setting supporting their learning and wellbeing. You should be comfortable carrying out supervised personal care. Being qualified in manual handling would be an advantage.

You will be expected to provide pupil feedback to other staff and outside agencies. You must follow school procedures at all times, including dress code and behaviour policies.

Pay rates for working in this school £55-£65 per day depending on qualifications and experience.

The Protocol Education Special Needs department is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. We work alongside a variety of Special Educational Needs Schools and Pupil Referral Units. We provide day to day and long-term recruitment solutions for Teachers and Teaching Assistants.

We can offer our staff the opportunity to gain a further understanding of working in the SEND sector as we provide regular courses that prepare you for working with a variety of additional needs that will be certified upon completion
