Job description
Support Workers are needed to work in a specialist further education college in Somerset. The pupils are between the ages of 18-25 and are on the Autistic Spectrum. This is a role ideal for candidates wishing to gain extra experience in a classroom working with children who have additional needs. The opportunity allows preparation for a career in education and to advance your current skills.

SEN refers to many different needs therefore the candidate must be adaptable and keen to learn. The pupils at the school are on the Autistic Spectrum therefore, candidates will preferably have experience working with adults or children with SEN or had training. Additional training such as Team Teach or safeguarding is desirable. The school are able to adapt to different working patterns and the hours consist of days, evenings or weekends. Work will consist of supporting the pupils in college and in the local community. This involves supporting them with class work and assisting them with leisure activities such as; cinema, gym, park and pub. This represents a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in education.
