An Ofsted rated Good school in a rural village in South Derbyshire are looking to recruit a support worker to aid children with Profound and Multiple Learning Disabilities (PMLD) in a residential setting. For this role, the successful candidate must have:

• Experience of working with vulnerable children or adults

• Experience of supporting Working with students with ASC, MLD, PMLD. SLD (desirable but not essential)

• Knowledge of supporting children with behaviours that challenge

• A Full UK Driving License

• Be able to show reliance in challenging situations

• Relevant qualifications (Level 3 Residential Childcare desirable)

• An enthusiastic and flexible approach to working

The successful candidate would be required to work within small groups or on a 1:1 basis with students who require additional care. You will need to have a proactive approach to work and use show initiative and passion in your role. The students you work with will have varied needs including Autism and physical disabilities. The ability to build positive relationships with students and staff will be essential and candidates must be willing to support students with personal care.
