Job description
Primary Schools in Croydon are looking for Specialist Support workers to work with pupils with special needs. A successful candidate will have the right attitude alongside some experience in order to meet the demands of the role supporting SEN pupils. Most of the pupils are on the Autism spectrum, with additional needs, such a ADHD, SEMH, SLD and MLD. Some of the pupils have behaviour that is of a challenging nature, therefore you must have a resilient and firm-but-fair attitude.

There are roles to start immediately and continue through the academic year, both full time and part time.

You must be able to support and encourage pupils to develop both academically and socially. Unparalleled behaviour management skills are a must. If you have a background in Youth Work, Psychology, Sports (coaching), Art and Design and Music then this role is ideal for you.

The working hours are 8:30am - 3:30pm, up to 5 days a week. The school are looking to train the right candidate with the right resilient attitude.
If you have a DBS on the updated system then this is an advantage alongside relevant training, such as Team-teach Positive Intervention, Safe-guarding, and First Aid.
