Are you a newly qualified or graduate teacher looking to build confidence in the classroom without the pressure of jumping straight into a full-time post?
This welcoming primary school regularly works with graduate and ECT supply teachers and understands the importance of support in those early career stages. With clear routines, prepared lesson plans, and a friendly staff team, this is a great environment to develop your teaching style while gaining valuable classroom experience.
The school often requests the same supply teachers, meaning there is strong potential for regular and ongoing work once relationships are established.
Typical working hours are 8:30 – 15:30, including a 30-minute break. A day in this role may include:
Delivering pre-planned lessons across KS1 or KS2

Leaving brief handover notes for the class teacher
Clear lesson plans and resources
Supportive and approachable teaching staff
Well-managed classrooms
Experience working with ECT supply teachers
UK QTS (or pending qualification)
Positive and reflective teaching approach
Willingness to learn and develop
Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willing to apply)
Ideal first step after qualifying
No planning or marking
Weekly pay
FREE CPD and ECT-friendly training
Opportunity for regular and longer-term work
This is a brilliant way to gain confidence, try different year groups, and build classroom experience at your own pace. With the school regularly booking the same supply teachers, there is genuine opportunity for consistent and longer-term work once relationships are established.
