Do you have experience coaching sports with young people? Do you have experience working with children with special needs?

We have an amazing opportunity to work as a Sports Mentor for young people with autism, allowing them to stay active and engaged during their school day. You will be able to share your passion with sports as well as inspire students to reach their full potential. You will also be participating with class lessons and working on a 1:1 basis with children. A strong, enthusiastic and committed individual with the drive to get young people to succeed is the qualities we need for the right candidate.

The aim is to be able to work both in and out of the classroom focusing on individual childs needs making lessons interactive and fun! You should be able to work a minimum of 3 days a week between the hours 8.30-16.00pm. The role would be based in the Hillingdon area.

You will be suitable if:

You have volunteer or professional experience working with individuals with autism or other complex needs.
Have experience working within an educational setting, care experience as a health care assistant or support worker.
You have good written and verbal English.
You are passionate about working with children with SEN.

Please note: We undertake safeguarding checks on all our workers in accordance with the DfE statutory guidance 'Keeping Children Safe in Education'. As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £40.00
