A friendly and energetic primary school in Gateshead is looking for a motivated Sports Graduate Teaching Assistant to support pupils both in the classroom and during physical activities.
This role is ideal for graduates with a background in Sports Science, Coaching, or Physical Education who are looking to move into education.
The role is part-time, term time only, working 8.30am to 3.30pm.
You will support pupils throughout the school day, helping them stay engaged in both classroom learning and physical activities.
Your responsibilities may include:
• Supporting pupils during lessons and structured activities
• Assisting with PE sessions and outdoor learning
• Encouraging teamwork, participation, and confidence
• Helping pupils stay focused and engaged
• Supporting positive behaviour and classroom routines
This role allows you to use your energy and coaching skills in a classroom setting while building valuable experience.
You will:
• Develop behaviour management and engagement skills
• Gain experience working with children in an educational setting
• Build confidence leading activities and supporting learning
• Strengthen your pathway into teaching or coaching roles
