Protocol Education are looking for teaching assistants from backgrounds that include; acting, drama or musical backgrounds or special needs & care backgrounds to work in one of our outstanding special needs schools. This renowned school caters for primary students with a diverse range of special needs that include visual/hearing impairments, physical disabilities, autism, severe learning disabilities and speech and language difficulties. As a teaching assistant you will be required to develop students hand eye coordination, speech & language skills, social/communication skills, speech and language skills, independence and cognitive processes. As part of the role you will have the opportunity to work within a variety of different subjects such as art & music.

Main Duties:
  • Engaging students through song and dance
  • Helping with sensory integration within the classroom
  • Working with the teacher to assess pupils' levels and ability
  • Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
  • Liaising with parents and carers
