Protocol Education are currently recruiting teaching assistants from creative backgrounds such as acting, drama or musical backgrounds that are keen to apply their creative skills within a special needs school. This particular school caters for primary students with a diverse range of special needs that include visual/hearing impairments, physical disabilities, autism, severe learning disabilities and speech and language difficulties. As a teaching assistant you will be required to develop students hand eye coordination, speech & language skills, social/communication skills, speech and language skills, independence and cognitive processes.

Main Duties:
• Engaging students through interactive stories, sensory materials and creative lessons such as art
• Helping with sensory integration within the classroom and the sensory room
• Working with the teacher to assess pupils' levels and ability
• Ensuring the schools ethos and policies are being implemented
• Assisting with swimming
