Job description
I'm currently recruiting for one of my Fantastic Primary School's in Tower Hamlets. They are urgently looking for an experienced behavioural specialist to work as an SEN TA and provide 1:1 support to a children across both key stages. This is a full-time job starting in April 2018 and continuing until July 2018 with the potential to carry on.

The behavioural specialist to be considered will ideally be trained in PECS, Makaton and Alternative and Augmentative Communication (AAC). On top of this, the suitable candidate has to have previous experience in speech and language training.
As an SENTA you will be required to assist the class in every day activities, minimize the disruptions in the classroom and help class teacher with displays and admin work. You will have to set clear boundaries supervise the child in the classroom and help them feel safe but also fully enjoy their learning experience in the school.

Essential skills and attributes:
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Professional working manner
• A passion for working with children
• Strong literacy and numeracy
• Experience of working with children with challenging behaviour & excellent behaviour management skills
• Good understanding of the EYFS British National Primary School Curriculum
• Ability to work with minimum of supervision
