Special Needs Teaching Assistant

Barnet
Needed ASAP

Are you passionate about the inclusion of children with special educational needs and disabilities?
Are you a positive, self-motivated, well-organised person with a 'can-do' attitude?

Protocol Education is looking for a full time special needs teaching assistant to work in a primary special needs school in the London borough of Barnet. Special needs teaching assistants need to provide a high level of support to children with a range of learning difficulties including ASD (autism), complex needs and PMLD (profound and multiple learning difficulties).

It is preferred to have extensive experience of working with young children with SEND. You will also need excellent inter-personal and communication skills, have the ability to work on your own initiative but also to be an effective team player. This is a dynamic and exciting post within a well-respected and high-profile team.

As part of these checks, we require a current Enhanced DBS Disclosure for everyone working in schools. If you do not have a valid subscription to the DBS Update Service, we will require you to complete a new DBS application as part of the registration process, at a cost of £44.00
