Job description
A school in Newham require a specialist Early Years and KS1 experienced SENTA to work within their specialist unit within the school. The unit works with around 12 Early Years and KS1 students, around half of which are non-verbal and all possess entirely unique needs and specialities. Within the unit is a highly experienced SEN teacher, who acts as mentor to a small team of teaching assistants, most of which have worked within the school for a number of years.
Many of the students posses multiple SEN, including ASD, ADHD, PMLD and EBD.

Applicants must have the following qualifications, experience and attributes:
• Experience of working with EYFS and KS1severe SEN/non-verbal children in a classroom setting
• A high standard of communication skills with children or adults
• Knowledge and Commitment to child Safeguarding
• The commitment and willingness to stay within the role for the entirety of the school year

Applicants with Team Teach, PECS and Makaton or similar CPD training are highly regarded
