Protocol Education are currently recruiting teaching assistants to start in January 2021 to work an outstanding special needs school located in Wandsworth. This particular school caters for children aged 2-11 years, specialising in educating pupils with special needs such as severe learning difficulties, profound multiple learning disabilities, speech & language difficulties and autism.

This particular school upholds high standards and continually works towards improving their pupils' performances by maintaining an environment that is nurturing, empowering and supportive while at the same time setting challenges. As a SEND teaching assistant, your main responsibility will be to ensure pupils reach their full potential in their social, physical and academic development. As part of the support team, your main role will be to ensure a positive and engaging environment to the students you work with.

  • Supporting students one a one to one basis
  • Assisting the class teacher and working collectively as a team
  • Encouraging speech development through the use of visual aids
  • Encouraging physical and mobility development through movement, dance or swimming
  • Managing pupils physical needs
