A School in the borough of Harrow are seeking to employ additional support staff to work with students with a range of SEN needs.
The school is an outstanding (Ofsted June 2014) maintained special school for pupils from 11-19 with PMLD/SLD/MDVI and autism. It benefits from excellent staffing ratios, small class sizes and a highly personalised approach to learning.
This position has arisen due to increased headcount on the school roll and the opening of an additional class to support this group.
The ideal candidate would have a proven record of supporting SEN students and have a basic understanding of PECS and Makaton.
Teaching Assistants with special school or mainstream experience are welcome to apply, graduates also looking to gain experience in a special needs classroom are encouraged to apply.
Situated close to a station on the Bakerloo Line and alongside several bus routes, this school is extremely easy to reach via public transport.
