A Special Education Needs & Disabilities school based in South Nottinghamshire support pupils aged between 4 and 11 years with Severe Learning Difficulties (SLD), Profound & Multiple Learning Difficulties (PMLD), Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), physical and medical needs.

They require friendly, caring, empathetic and reliable teaching assistants to join their support staff. The applicants need to understand the importance of communication and embed this into the work place. You will be required to provide general classroom support and may also be asked to work on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Previous experience of working with PMLD or SLD is desirable, and all applicants must be willing to assist with personal care when required.

The school encourage and promote pupils to be the best they can be and inspire them to shine individually throughout their educational journey and into adulthood. Teaching assistants with, Moving and Handling, Manual Handling (including Team Teach & NAPPI), Peg feeding and Medical Administration training are highly desirable.

8.30am- 3:30pm
£65 - £75 per day

Ideal Candidate:
Previous PMLD or SLD experience - highly desirable
Willing to provide personal care.
PECS or Makaton experience - desirable.
Manual Handling (Team Teach & NAPPI) training - highly desirable.

Must hold a full valid driving license
