Special Education Needs & Disabilities academy based in the Leicestershire area that support pupils aged between 4 and 19 years with a variety of special needs including Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), Cognition, Communication and Interaction needs.
They require friendly, caring, empathetic and reliable Learning Support Assistants (LSA) to join their Support team. You will be required to provide general classroom support and may also be asked to work on a one-to-one basis or in small groups. Previous experience of working with Special Education Needs pupils is desirable, but not essential. Those wishing to gain experience in this field are more than welcome to apply for the position. Training can be provided to successful candidates.
All applicants must be willing to assist with personal care when required. The academy promote the importance of wellbeing for pupils and adopt a nurturing and holistic approach so pupils can be challenged with their learning and provided with opportunities to reach their full potential.
Teaching Assistants with Manual Handling training (including Team Teach & NAPPI) and Medical Administration training are highly desirable.
