Job description
Protocol Education are leaders within the SEND education field and work alongside a number of specialist schools and provisions across Manchester and the surrounding areas. Due to these strong relationships, Protocol are looking to recruit SEND staff for various September roles. These include both teaching and support roles. Long term, day to day and permanent posts.

To be considered for these SEND roles, you will need to have the following skills:

•At least 6 months working within SEND. This does not necessarily have to be within a school setting.
•A registered DBS on the update service or be prepared to apply for a new DBS.
•Be able to travel to school to work between 8.30am and 4.30pm Monday to Friday term time.
•Have relevant SEND training E.G Team Teach, PRICE, PECS, Makaton, Hoist, Manual Handling etc.

If you are a teacher you will need:

•QTS or other relevant teaching qualification. You may be looking to move out of mainstream education into SEND, we can assist you in your transition.
•Able to plan and deliver lessons according to each students individual special needs.
•Comfortable working alongside third parties to provide the educational needs according to EHCP/IEP.

If you are a looking for a support role within a school you will need:

•Relevant work experience. This could be within a residential unit, youth service, support service, health care, mental health or from personal experience.
•Be comfortable in carrying out personal care if needed for the role.
•Able to build strong relationships with the student and team.
•Support class teacher as well as student.
